Hear My Song Benefit Concert

By Blake Cataldo in Social Events about 1 year ago | 274 views Link:

Kat Ashdown, in association with The Potter’s Follies, is leading the efforts behind a benefit concert called “Hear My Song.” This is a concert including a variety of Popular & Musical songs, weaving together a story of universal brokenness/despair into hope/redemption.

The money from ticket sales will benefit Araminta Freedom Initiative, which is a Baltimore organization actively fighting human trafficking HERE in our neighborhoods (specifically child sex trafficking). If you don’t know much about human trafficking, feel free to visit their website here. Tragically, human trafficking has been around for centuries, and it continues today. Araminta was Harriet Tubman’s given name as a child slave right here in Maryland. Araminta means ‘defender’, and this organization follows in her footsteps to bring freedom in the 21st century. Our goal for the concert is to raise awareness, and also funds: $10,000 for Araminta is our monetary goal – This may be lofty, but I really believe we can do it. This money will help Araminta in their mission to awaken, equip and mobilize the Church and community to end human trafficking.

Tickets must be purchased through the website below (click on the pic). We really hope you can join us for one of these nights of song and drama for a great cause!
